Themistocles S. Protopsaltis, MD

Dr. Protopsaltis is Director of the Bellevue Orthopaedic Spine Service and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center. 

He has unique dual training in spine and peripheral nerve disorders.  He completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center and a fellowship in Hand, Microsurgery/Peripheral Nerve Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. 

He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital. 

His clinical practice specializes in the surgical management of all spinal disorders as well as the differentiation and management of peripheral nerve problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome.
